The Chair of Ressource Mineralogy focuses on raw material, deposit and fluid research. Both basic and application-oriented projects are carried out. They span a broad range from the mineralogical and mineral-chemical characterisation of primary and secondary raw materials, to the investigation of formation processes of various ore deposits, to experimental studies of fluids in the earth's crust. Projects in the field of hydrogen storage and CO2 reduction deal with the interaction of H2 and CO2 with borehole cements and storage rocks.
